Vietnamese lovebirds engaged at Taylor Swift show.
A Vietnamese couple’s dramatic wedding engagement at a Taylor Swift concert in Singapore last week has become a viral sensation on social media.
In a TikTok video that gained widespread attention, Le Anh Minh knelt down and presented a ring to Nguyen Phuong To Uyen while Swift performed “Champagne Problems,” reported The Straits Times.
The couple, both 26, who have been together for eight years and prefer to keep their occupations private, chose to get engaged during “Champagne Problems,” a song ironically centered around a failed proposal.
Minh explained: “Champagne Problems is about a failed proposal. Knowing that, we wanted to do the unexpected and decided to propose during the song. We will be together for the rest of our days.”
Despite feeling nervous, Minh successfully executed the proposal, describing the moment as overwhelming and expressing his elation at being the luckiest man on Earth.
The “Eras Tour” concert became a unique venue for proposals, with numerous attendees expressing their feelings for each other during Swift’s performance of her hit song “Love Story,” reported Ent Life.
Earlier, a Chinese Taylor Swift fan got a delightful surprise when her boyfriend knelt at her feet as she danced at her concert in Singapore.
Taylor Swift’s Singapore visit includes six performances from March 2-9, attracting a staggering total of 300,000 spectators. Travel demand in Singapore during this period surged by 275%, according to8Word.
“The Eras Tour” has captivated audiences across various continents, contributing to Taylor Swift achieving billionaire status in October 2023, thanks to the tour’s immense success.
In December 2023, Guinness World Records recognized her Eras Tour as the highest-grossing concert series of all time, surpassing Elton John’s previous record with over US$1 billion in revenue.
Taylor Swift’s remarkable achievement includes earning approximately 85% of total ticket sales, a rare feat in the music industry.
