Travis Kelce admits his ‘Wes Anderson-style’ pre-game fit was his audition to star in the famous director’s movie – as he claims he wanted to ‘go into Buffalo in business attire’ for Chiefs-Bills
Travis Kelce suggested his game-day fit ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs‘ divisional round playoff game was actually a pitch to Wes Anderson.
The tight end is known for his flair for fashion and demonstrated it once again as the Chiefs touched down in Buffalo Saturday to face the Bills.
The Chiefs filmed Travis leaving the plane in a mustard yellow suit, striped turtleneck, beanie hat and shades and the look certainly raise his brother Jason’s eyebrows.
‘Looks like he’s auditioning for a new Wes Anderson film,’ the Eagles star joked about his brother.
And opening up on the interesting fashion statement, Travis admitted that he was hoping to catch the attention of the American filmmaker with the daring look.

‘To me I got more vibes that this was a Wes Anderson style,’ Jason began on their New Heights podcast Wednesday.
‘The beanie looked like it would be out of Life Aquatic, I think that’s what gave the idea,’ he added referencing the director’s 2004 film The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. ‘It wasn’t aimed a knock I mean Wes Anderson is a beast.’
‘I just gonna say this is my pitch to get in a Wes Anderson film,’ Travis responded. ‘I could fit right in Wes. You just give me the lines, baby.’
Travis went on to reveal that his fit featured a custom suit designed by Teddy Van Rijn that ‘fit like a glove’ and that he paired it with the striped shirt, hat and shades that he had ‘just had laying around.’
‘I just wanted everyone to know that we were going into Buffalo in business attire,’ he said.
Travis’s starring role in a blockbuster film doesn’t appear beyond the realm of possibility.
According to The New York Times, Kelce’s managers have a carefully curated plan to make him globally famous and it could even include a film about the two-time Super Bowl winner and Taylor Swift‘s boyfriend.
Kelce’s business managers, the brothers Andree and Aaron Eanes, spoke to NYT on their plan to build Kelce’s profile beyond football – and there is thought that he could one day swap Kansas City for Hollywood.
