‘The errors tour made a comeback,’ Fans Praise Taylor Swift for Smooth Recovery During Latest ‘Errors Tour’ Wardrobe Malfunction
The fan-loved “Errors Tour” made a stumbling return on Friday, May 24 in Portugal.
As many Swifties noticed on Friday, May 24, Taylor Swift endured a wardrobe malfunction while performing during her first of two consecutive nights in Lisbon’s Estádio da Luz stadium.
Fans were quick to share clips of the incident online, which they noted would likely be added to a growing collection of similar costume-related malfunctions that fans have teasingly dubbed Swift’s “Errors Tour,” named for her hit international Eras Tour.
Many of the “Cruel Summer” singer’s fans enjoy spotting onstage mix-ups like the one that occurred during her first night in Lisbon. While Swift’s performances tend to be well-planned and carefully choreographed, occasional mistakes remind fans that the musical icon is human—and her ability to smile and work through them further strengthens fans’ appreciation for the 14-time Grammy Award winner’s dedication to her craft.
The Friday incident involved a cape that the “Fortnight” singer wore during a performance of “Willow,” a song from her 2020 album Evermore. Videos shared by Swift fan accounts on X, formerly Twitter, showed Swift adjusting the cape before it slid off her left shoulder. She continued dancing for a few seconds before attempting to fix its placement on her shoulders again.
“We live laugh love the errors tour,” one Eras Tour fan account wrote on X. Several Swifties chimed in to agree.

Some people praised Swift’s “beautiful performance” despite the wardrobe mishap.
“Lisbon errors tour just kidding. Who notices all these when her performance overtakes,” one person wrote.
Others, who seemed to believe that Evermore was often overlooked, suggested the incident indicated the music was fighting for attention.
“[E]vermore witches are getting their revenge on her,” one person joked as another suggested that Swift’s cape “misses the Evermore dresses like me .”
