Taylor Swift is showing love to her Scottish fans!
On Monday, June 10, Swift, 34, posted a heartfelt message of thanks to her fans in Edinburgh, Scotland on Instagram, after performing three record-breaking shows as part of her ongoing Eras tour over the weekend.
“Edinburgh!!! You truly blew me away this weekend,” she wrote in the caption. “Thank you for breaking the all-time attendance record for a stadium show in Scotland 3 times in a row 🤯 and for all the ways you made us feel right at home.”
“Love you, all 220,000 of you!!! 🤍,” Swift concluded, sharing several photos of her performing at the capital city’s Murrayfield Stadium alongside her message.
Swift kicked off the U.K. leg of her tour in Edinburgh, performing the first of three consecutive shows on Friday, June 7. The final show took place on Sunday, June 9.
Swift’s message comes after she confirmed during her concert on Sunday that each of her three Edinburgh shows broke the record for the highest attendance ever at Murrayfield Stadium. The stadium is the largest in Scotland and the fifth biggest in the U.K. with a seating capacity of 67,144, per Rugby Pass.
In a video from the show posted on TikTok, Swift told the audience, “It’s been shockingly amazing in Edinburgh because every night I got to go onstage and they pulled me aside and said, ‘You know this crowd broke the all-time stadium attendance record for all of Scotland for all of time.’ ”
“So tonight I said, ‘There’s no way they can possibly fit more people into the stadium, there’s no way they can do that.’ ” Swift then shared that she was told Sunday’s show was “now the highest attended stadium show in Scotland — thank you!”
Swift was part of several milestone moments in Edinburgh, serving as a witness to a couple getting engaged during her first show on Friday.
In another video from the concert posted on Threads, Swift finished her performance of “Cardigan” by telling the audience, “I love performing this entire show in the sunlight because I’m pretty sure I just, like, saw somebody getting engaged over here,” referring to the couple in the crowd.
“Wow, I just saw that whole thing!” she continued. “Uh, man, that’s amazing. Thanks for doing that at my concert, that’s a big moment — huge!”
