#RyanReynolds and #HughJackman open up about their kids, sharing if they would go to another Chiefs game with Taylor Swift, and more!
Ryan Reynolds opened up about potentially hiring his pal, Taylor Swift, as a babysitter for his four children—but unfortunately, he can’t afford her services (not that she was necessarily offering them to begin with).
While chatting with E! News on Monday, July 21, Reynolds—who shares daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4, as well as a fourth child born in 2023 with his wife, Blake Lively—responded to a joke about childcare, bringing up the “cost” associated.
As the actor’s Deadpool & Wolverine costar, Hugh Jackman, hilariously commented, the “Lavender Haze” singer is actually the family’s nanny, Reynolds quickly quipped back, “The cost of that is… I believe the accountant said, ‘cost-prohibitive.'”
He further joked, “But I think what he meant was, ‘Cost-insane-what-are-you-doing-I’m-no-longer-you’re-accountant.’”
The mention of the pop superstar likely came about as rumors have swirled for months that the singer may make a cameo in the movie—something the stars officially set straight for anxious and inquiring fans.

“I will say once and for all that the cameo thing with Taylor,” the Free Guy actor explained, “because she’s our friend—that is not in this film.”
“I always do say that if anyone ever were to take over the role of Deadpool, actually Taylor would be very good,” Reynolds continued to reveal. “Because that’s a superpower that I don’t know that she shows everyone too often—she’s one of the funniest people I’ve ever met.”
The foursome, including Jackman, Reynolds, Lively, and Swift, were spotted spending time together in the stands of one of the pop star’s boyfriend Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs games last NFL season, making fans wonder if they were working on the film together, too.
But alas, as confirmed, it’s simply not so.
Deadpool & Wolverine hits theaters on July 26, 2024.
The ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ stars — who teamed up with Heineken Silver for its “All The Taste, No Bitter Endings″ campaign — open up in an interview with PEOPLE
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are enjoying more than just screw-top rosé with Taylor Swift.
The Deadpool & Wolverine stars, who partnered with Heineken Silver for its new “All The Taste, No Bitter Endings″ campaign, tell PEOPLE exclusively that in the spirit of the ad, the music icon is absolutely somebody they’d invite to share a beverage.
“Taylor Swift is a fun person to have a beer with,” affirmed Reynolds, to which Jackman quipped: “Who?”
“Well, if you get access to outside information — once you leave the bomb shelter — you’ll understand. Huge politician,” jokes Reynolds. “And one of the funnier people. People keep asking if she’s in the movie, and I keep saying if there’s ever someone else to play Deadpool, I think it might actually be Taylor.”
Reynolds has a well-documented friendship with the superstar: His daughters James, Inez and Betty are all famously referenced in Swift’s Folklore track, “Betty,” and his wife Blake Lively is one of Swift’s closest friends.
So when asked who the bigger celebrity is in his household — Deadpool or Swift — Reynolds doesn’t hesitate.
“Oh, Taylor Swift,” he says. “Do you think I’m a fool? Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift all the way.”
