During her Eras Tour, Taylor Swift spends well over three hours singing and dancing in customized Christian Louboutin heels, including bedazzled versions of the brand’s Eleanor boots ($1,995) and CL Moc loafers ($1,095).
In a recent Vogue interview, Louboutin revealed he’s made over 250 pairs for the superstar’s concerts thus far. That’s over a quarter-million dollars’ worth of shoes!
But you don’t have to spend four figures to get a piece of Swift’s footwear wardrobe for yourself. Per footage the musician’s shared of her Eras Tour rehearsals on YouTube Shorts, she’s partial to New Balance 1906R sneakers while prepping for shows — a style that’s far more affordable (and comfortable, we’d assume) than those red bottoms.
While Swift’s version of the bestselling kicks was created in collaboration with Ganni — and is sadly sold out — the sneakers come in colors ranging from a near-identical silver-and-gold combo to a “Tortured Poets Department”-worthy soft gray.
Named for the year New Balance was founded, the 1906R features a retro upper inspired by 2000s-era running shoes, along with the brand’s signature N-ergy shock-absorbing outsole. It’s also enhanced with added arch support — making it a great choice for runs, hikes or workouts of any kind.
And don’t just take Swift’s word for it; on New Balance’s website, the 1906R’s racked up more than 250 five-star reviews to date, with shoppers calling it “the most comfortable and stylish shoe ever,” “unbelievably awesome” and “so bomb.”
New Balance isn’t new to Swift’s closet; last September, the Grammy winner attended her very first Chiefs game wearing the Boston-based athletic brand’s 550 sneakers ($150) in team-appropriate red, black and white.
