Patrick Mahomes Reveals How He Did Golfing At Augusta National Recently
Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the world, but when he’s not playing football, the Kansas City Chiefs star likes to get in some time on the links.
During an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” last week, Mahomes shared that he had the opportunity to play on the hollowed ground of Augusta National recently.
It sounds like the three-time Super Bowl champion held his own, at least for the most part.
“Golf game is really good, just got back from Augusta last weekend,” Mahomes said. “Played really well out there. Played great from the member tees and then tried to play from the pro tees, did not go as well.”
Mahomes has played in two editions of The Match golf series. In 2022, he and Josh Allen fell to Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers in a battle of star quarterbacks.
Last June, Mahomes and Travis Kelce took down Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors. In July, Mahomes had a less flattering moment on the golf course, when he refused to sign an autograph for a young fan and drew the ire of at lease one adult in attendance.
With two months to go until training camp, we’d imagine Mahomes will spend some more time on his golf game before the season begins.
