Travis Kelce DID attend Chiefs OTAs on Monday, team reveals after he was mysteriously absent on Day 3

Travis Kelce wasn’t spotted at Wednesday’s organized team activities (OTAs), but the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was a participant on Monday, according to the team.

Kelce’s absence made waves on Wednesday as attending media were not able to spot the 34-year-old, who has been known to travel the world with his popstar girlfriend Taylor Swift.

But according to photos released by the team on Wednesday, Kelce was in attendance at Monday’s voluntary practice, where he saw his first action alongside new teammate Marquise Brown. Team spokespeople did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s request for further information

His teammate and quarterback Patrick Mahomes was in practice on Wednesday, as he took part in some conditioning and throwing drills with new wide receiver Xavier Worthy, and Sky Moore.

Kelce’s decision to snub Wednesday’s OTAs has raised eyebrows within and outside the franchise, considering what he said last year about football’s equivalent to baseball’s spring training.

‘I just love the game,’ he told reporters back then. ‘I think that keeps me living like a young, fun-loving football player. I get to play a game for a living at the age of 33, 34 — and I don’t want to lose that.

‘I don’t want to lose that excitement that I had for the game when I was a kid.’

He added: ‘Every single day I get to come in with the best team, best players, (and) best coaches in the world so it makes it easy to just come in here and just enjoy it.’

This past weekend, Kelce was seen living it up at his own musical festival – Kelce Jam – in Kansas City with Mahomes, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz and Diplo.

Before that he was out for a lavish dinner and boat ride with Swift in Lake Como, Italy, as the popstar continues to tour Europe for her ‘Eras’ Tour.

Kelce recently signed a two-year extension worth up to $34.3 million, according to reports.

Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid is hoping for a much quieter rest of the offseason now that the defending Super Bowl champions have reconvened for a series of voluntary workouts, culminating with their mandatory minicamp in the middle of next month.

Whether it’s been the unresolved Dallas car crash involving Rice, the polarizing comments delivered by kicker Harrison Butker or the wild schedule foisted upon Kansas City by the NFL that has it playing every day of the week but Tuesday, there has been no shortage of headlines involving the Chiefs since their title triumph in February.

‘Obviously, we don’t want those things obviously to happen,’ Reid said, primarily alluding to Rice’s legal trouble, ‘but things do happen and you learn from it. And you end it. That is what’s important.’
