The 52-year-old comedian, who was hosting the prestigious event, took a moment to acknowledge the presence of the 34-year-old Grammy-winning musician, who happened to be seated next to Keleigh Sperry, the wife of Miles Teller.
Koy decided to poke fun at Swift’s well-documented attendance at numerous NFL games in support of her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. He quipped, “The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? At the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift. I swear. There’s just more to go to.”
As the camera quickly cut to Taylor Swift to capture her reaction, it appeared as if she remained unfazed, taking a nonchalant sip of her drink. The audience response was equally lackluster, with minimal applause and subdued laughter. Even Swift’s close friend, Selena Gomez, seemed slightly perplexed by the jest.
Koy swiftly changed the subject to steer away from the awkward moment, but fans on social media couldn’t help but take notice and share their thoughts.
