Fans speculate that the leaked track ‘The Alchemy’ from Taylor Swift’s Tortured Poets Department collection is about Travis Kelce.
Taylor Swift helped inspire Travis Kelce to Super Bowl glory last season and now, there are rumors he is the inspiration behind a new song from her upcoming record.
Claims began circulating on Thursday that Swift’s new album, The Tortured Poets Department, has leaked a day early and Swifties than managed to snatch an early listen think at least one song is about Kelce.
The Alchemy’ apparently has multiple references that fans have interpreted to be about Kansas City Chiefs star Kelce.
One fan took to X and wrote: ‘the alchemy is clearly about travis lmao touchdown, greatest in the league, gloves on the bench… “where’s the trophy he just comes running over to me”
Another said: ‘There is one beautiful surprise – The Alchemy is about Travis!
References touchdowns, teammates, trophies and how they had an instant connection they couldn’t resist.’
A different fan responded to a wider discussion about the record by saying: ‘I also think the alchemy is about Travis. It fits perfectly.’
‘I have heard some of it and yes, it’s unbelievable,’ he said to reporters. ‘I can’t wait for her to shake up the world when it finally drops.’
The couple went public last September, when the singer turned up to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City to watch Travis and the Chiefs beat the Chicago Bears.
Swift, 34, went to 13 Chiefs games overall, including the Super Bowl in Vegas, where she raced back from Tokyo, Japan to see Kelce win football’s ultimate prize for a third time.
He is expected to join her where possible for a number of her upcoming European tour dates. The four-month run starts next month in Paris.
After winning the Super Bowl, Kelce traveled to Australia and Singapore to see Swift perform as her Eras Tour went global.
It remains to be seen whether Swift incorporates any new material on the European tour and whether Kelce gets more of a direct shoutout from her
She has previously changed lyrics in her song ‘Karma’ to reference ‘the guy on the Chiefs coming home to me’.
